Home for a Rest

It’s been a little over a week since we arrived back in Vancouver. The Canucks have started and finished their playoff run for the year (sniff), our stuff is settled in it’s storage-unit-home for the time being, and we’re settled in Delta at my MIL’s beautiful home (which is for sale, by the way, if anyone is looking for a private split-level 3 bedroom-plus-finished-basement backing onto the watershed park!). The Dahg is happy playing with the two other dogs here and is thrilled to have the run of the backyard. Life feels like it is at a bit of a stand still for once.

In that vein, I will be going offline for a little while. I will likely be waiting until I’m settled in where ever our new home ends up being. I need some time to get work, home, and direction figured out. Plus there is not much to write about in quiet Delta, although I am not complaining because the break from city life is not unwelcome, just an adjustment. Things are in transition at the moment, the hardest being the transition from spending so much time with my Hubby to him working full time away from home. That has been the hardest. It will be better once I start working away from home as well.

Regardless of little trials and adjustments, it feels amazing to be home. We are looking forward to settling in for the next 10-15 years at least, and planning for the long term.  It feels good to have a sense of permanence.

Any thoughts?
